A HUGE THANK YOU to everyone in the Follow the Flame Team who took part in the Cardiff Bay 10k on Sunday 19th May. We also want to send our special thanks to those who generously sponsored the team and came to support them on the day.
The Follow the Flame Team not only showed grit and determination on a remarkably hot day, the Feast of Pentecost, but also highlighted the importance of supporting religious vocations in both the Dioceses of Menevia and Cardiff. Fr Laurence Bryce, who was running in the team, said
The event turned out to be good fun, the atmosphere was great, and it was wonderful to do something really positive for vocations. Knowing how many people were supporting and sponsoring us hugely helped in encouraging us on the day – and also motivating us for the training! Thank you.
We are thrilled to announce that the team raised over £5,000 for the Priest Training Fund in the Diocese of Menevia and the Archdiocese of Cardiff. These donations will go directly to supporting the formation and education of future priests. The fund provides them with the education, training, and resources they need to become the spiritual leaders of the future.
However, the journey does not end here. The need for well-trained priests continues, and so there is still time to collect those last few pledges for the Archdiocese of Cardiff here and Diocese of Menevia here.
Once again, congratulations to the Follow the Flame Team on your outstanding achievement. Your commitment to this cause has made a profound difference. Thank you for your dedication and for inspiring us all.
