Congratulations go to the pupils and students of St Joseph’s for a strong set of GCSE and BTEC results this year. The school has improved on last year’s results in all of the key performance measures, with 61% of pupils achieving 5 or more Level 2 qualifications, and 54% of students achieving 5 or more Level 2 qualifications including English and maths. This is a significant increase on the previous year. 60% of students achieved a C grade or higher in maths or numeracy, with 58% achieving a C in English language or literature. These results will provide an excellent foundation for students as they progress into further education in the Sixth Form.
St Joseph’s are delighted with the number of pupils who achieved the top A/A* grades. Particular mention should go to Charlotte Humphries, Eseobong Essien, Evie Lawrence, Ryan Hacker, Mary Rees and Jasmine Wallace-Thompson who, between them, achieved an incredible 64 A/A* grades.
“We are delighted with the progress we continue to make in developing a curriculum that prepares our students not only for these important exams, but also for the challenges and opportunities they will face in the coming years. I would like to congratulate our students and staff on all their hard work throughout the year.” (Eugene Scourfield, Headteacher)
“I am immensely proud of the hard work and dedication that our pupils and teachers have put in to achieve these results. They demonstrate our continued progress as a school as we strive to provide our pupils with the very best educational experiences and opportunities.” (Richard Pyke, Assistant Headteacher)
